Mr. Sauceda
Mr. Sauceda grew up in Brownsville, Texas and graduated from Gladys Porter High School in 2000. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Mr. Sauceda began his career as an educator in Simon Rivera ECHS in 2006 at Brownsville ISD. During that time Mr. Sauceda served as Algebra I and Geometry strand lead teacher. Afterwards, he served as a Drop-Out Intervention Specialist at Gladys Porter ECHS and James Pace ECHS at Brownsville ISD. Mr. Sauceda coordinated and collaborated with the Cameron County Juvenile probation office and Communities in Schools to provide support services for At-Risk students, reviewed PEIMS data reports, and implemented intervention programs to reduce the dropout rate and increase the graduation rate.
Eight years later, Mr. Sauceda was then given the opportunity to serve as an assistant principal at James Pace ECHS and Veterans Memorial High School. As an assistant principal Mr. Sauceda oversaw testing, section 504 and LEP programs along with other duties. Mr. Sauceda was then given an opportunity to serve as the Academic Dean at Veterans Memorial High School and managed the ECHS program, NMSI grant, advanced academics, and instruction at the campus.
In 2018, Mr. Sauceda was given an opportunity to serve in Judson Middle School as an assistant principal. After serving as an assistant principal for 4 years, he has become the new academic coach.
