Ms. Pamela Ussery
Pamela D. Ussery holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of North Texas. She holds certificates in Educational Administration (All Levels), English as a Second Language (6-12), and English and Journalism (6-12).
Ms. Ussery began her career as an English Language Arts and Journalism teacher in Smithville, Texas. She has 18 years in education, having taught in Smithville, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas, and in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ms. Ussery has worked in Judson ISD for 12 years.

Mr. Howard Wilen
Mr. Wilen grew up in San Antonio and attended Trinity University, receiving an undergraduate degree in History and English, and a Masters in Teaching (Secondary Education). He began his career as an educator in a full-year teaching internship in NEISD and then accepted a position at TMI The Episcopal School of Texas, teaching Economics, History, and coaching the Debate Team. Mr. Wilen moved back into public education to Alamo Heights ISD where from 2005 to 2016 he taught Social Studies, and served in various leadership positions, including as the Social Studies Department Chair and the Teacher of Excellence in Social Studies (leading curriculum development). Mr. Wilen earned a Masters degree in History (M.A.) from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2009 and a Masters degree in School Administration (M.Ed.) from Lamar University in 2010.
In 2016, Mr. Wilen married and moved to West Texas with his wife who was in graduate school to serve as an Assistant Principal in Ector County ISD (Odessa, TX) at Bonham Middle School, working with the leadership team to turn around the campus. He moved back to San Antonio, taught Dual Credit History in NEISD at Johnson High School and then returned to Alamo Heights ISD to teach Social Studies. In the summer of 2022, Mr. Wilen was given the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at Judson Middle School in Judson ISD.
Mr. Wilen has two children, dogs, and enjoys outdoor activities, attending his students’ extracurricular events, and spending time with colleagues and his family.

Charlton Bruton
Mr. Bruton grew up in San Antonio, in Northside ISD and earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. Mr. Bruton was a collegiate swimmer and Water Polo Player. Mr. Bruton has been a coach and a teacher for close to 20 years and has taught most grade levels and multiple content areas and sports. Most recently he received the Teacher of the Year Award at Dobie Junior High in 2022. He has had the great opportunity to teach around the United States and in Europe. Mr. Bruton has two dogs, two sons and an amazing wife!
