Excitement filled Rutledge Stadium this morning as Judson ISD employees came together for the 2026 Convocation Morning Mixer, officially launching a new school year centered on connection, collaboration, and student success.
Staff members from campuses and departments across the district gathered to enjoy breakfast, reconnect with colleagues, and meet team members from schools and offices they may not have the opportunity to see throughout the year. The event showcased the spirit of teamwork that makes Judson ISD special and reinforced the shared commitment to serving students and families.
Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by the JISD Child Nutrition Department, while Transportation Services ensured easy access to the event by providing shuttle service from transportation hubs across the district.
One of the morning's highlights was the energy brought by the combined cheerleaders and drumlines from Veterans Memorial High School, Wagner High School, and Judson High School. Their performances helped create an exciting atmosphere and build momentum for the year ahead.
In her welcome message to staff, Interim Superintendent Dr. Ann Dixon encouraged employees to continue creating "A Miracle in Judson ISD" by putting students first in every decision, every relationship, and every opportunity. She reminded staff that miracles happen every day through acts of kindness, encouragement, and dedication that change the lives of students.
The Morning Mixer also featured sponsor displays, giveaways, and opportunities for staff to engage with community partners who support Judson ISD throughout the year.
